welcome!
I do face-painting, mainly for kids. Cos I love the way their eyes light up when they see themselves in the mirror after that :)
Sometimes grannies, mummies, daddies and maids get in on the action as well, and they all leave with a shy smile.
Planning a party for your little one? Count me in, and I'll make the children go home with a wide grin on their faces!
Private ceramics and painting classes are in the pipeline, will update here once there are firm plans.

Painting Class @ Canossa Convent Primary
I taught watercolour and acrylic painting over 4 days, to 3 classes of very sweet and well-behaved Primary 2 students :)
The first project was 'Shapes and Lines' using the crayon resist method. The girls drew shapes, then outlined them in crayon using different types of lines such as wavy, broken or dotted lines. They then painted over them using watercolours, to see 'special effects' appearing.

What to draw???

Little angels!

This little girl was singing la la la la la la la all the way ;)

Taking pride in their work.

This student was the recognised 'star' artist of the class. But I think the other girls didn't do so bad :)
The second project was 'Extension' using acrylic paint. Basically I gave them an oval and they could imagine and draw anything using the shape. The challenging part was in getting the girls to settle down and use the acrylic paint correctly, as it requires a lot of patience in between waiting for the coats to dry. But they had fun!

Acrylic Painting Class @ Rivervale Primary School
The course was spread out over 3 sessions of an hour each, which was very rushed. Again the challenge was to get the Primary 3 students to settle down quickly in order to have enough time to paint. Most of the time was spent preventing messes from being created ;) So again, no time to take photos, but the content was similar to that at Whitesands Primary.

Digital Art Class @ CHIJ Toa Payoh (Primary)
CHIJ Toa Payoh had 2 full days of elective workshops for its Primary students after the exams. Roller-blading, yoga, archery, and of course, digital art.
The class this time was more focused as the group size was small, about 12 students per session, ranging from Pri 2 to Pri 6. The girls learnt how to manipulate photos to create a basic Pop Art effect just like the works of Andy Warhol.

Acrylic Painting Class @ Whitesands Primary School
As part of their post-PSLE activities, the Primary 6 students had 2 hours of acrylic painting split over 2 days. I taught 4 classes and it was quite a rush to complete their work as there was not much time to work after settling down and stopping early to clean up. But it was some good and relaxing fun after the exams :)
For some students, it was the first time they were trying out acrylic paint and they had to learn to work with the nature of the paint e.g. painting quickly before it dries, as well as resisting the urge to add water to the paint when using. For this particular course, they attempted to do some cubism just like Picasso.

Filling in their pencil drawings with the first coat of acrylic paint.

Outlining the main subject with black marker to help it stand out better.

This boy came back especially during recess break to touch up his work :)

Digital Art Class @ Beatty Secondary School
Taught Photoshop to 2 classes of Seconday 1 students. No photos because I was too busy teaching during the short 1.5 hours course :)

Art Workshop @ Woodlands Secondary School
It was a day of Art workshops for the Secondary students at Woodlands Sec. There were a few stations for the students to wander around, including clay art, finger painting, caricature and chalk painting.
I was manning the last station and asked the students to draw scenarios that make them happy :)

The floor after the event.

What started as an art class became a sort of graffiti wall (floor?) for the students to leave messages for one another, and especially for the graduating Sec 4 classes to leave their mark on the school campus and take photos for remembrance. Majority of the messages were 'who loves who' type of declarations haha. Unfortunately the cleaners washed everything off barely 15 mins after the event ended!

The other stations.
